Vicks SmartTemp Thermometer App Reviews

1st: having to give a star for this crap is one star too many for this useless thermometer! took temperature 5 times in a row and got completely different results each time ranging from 95.9 to 98.7 and all that within 15 minutes. I then used a classic mercury thermometer twice in a row and both times I got 98.9. If a fever thermometer cannot give you accurate readings well then its just useless, plain and simple, no matter how nice the app is; the thermometer does not work. after reading all the wonderful reviews on here I thought that maybe my thermometer had been broken so I returned it and purchased a new one. The same happened. I just took my temperature orally 5 times in a row again. Every reading was completely different. I got temperatures from 97. 5 too 100.8. (!!) I honestly do not understand these good reviews of the product. It is totally inaccurate and 100% useless. Sure, the app is nice and shiny and looks good but what good is that if youre trying to find out whether youve got a fever or not and instead of an accurate reading you get some random readings that have nothing to do with your actual body temperature. Very, very frustrating. Advice: DONT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP FOR IT IS A WASTE OF $ and time with a dash of extra annoying. FEEL BETTER YALL !

I got the thermometer for free from influencer and my daughter ended up getting fever within a week of receiving it, I loved the tracking option, so I could watch her temp, and remember what time I took it and what time I administered meds. Another cool feature was to be able to have a profile for each family member! Thank you influenster and Vicks! Ive been tellin all my mommy friends about you ;)

This app is so easy to use, I actually received this product to test from influencer. I ended up actually running a fever shortly after receiving the product the app let me track my temperatures to see that it was going down. I compared to another thermometer at my house and the Vicks app and thermometer are very accurate! Love this product and app. Recommend !!

We love this hand tech thermometer. The features are so nice. Works like a charm.

I like how much quicker it reads the temp than other thermometers, and I also like how it keeps track of your whole familys temps on one app, but I found that the readings were not accurate. I took 3 temps in a row and none were the same, or even close to being the same.

I absolutely love this thermometer! Ive had it for a couple of months after receiving it for free to review and its the only one I use! This app keeps track of my whole familys temperatures and makes it super easy to relay information to the doctor when we get sick! This will be my go-to until it no longer works, but then Im sure I will go out and buy another one!

I was so impressed with this app. It is super easy to use and navigate around. I love that you can get history on when the last fever was and the trend with it. I also like that I can log medications and symptoms. Love it.

I was excited when I received this thermometer. I got it for free to review. I loved the app and cordless functionality of the thermometer, as I have another thermometer thats iPhone compatible, but requires a cord. Unfortunately, I found this thermometer wasnt accurate. I tried it on my toddler when sick, and myself to determine its validity. Compared to the other thermometers in the house, it was a few degrees less every time. Im hopeful that the thermometer I received was malfunctioning, and that its not a representation of the majority of these thermometers. Ive had other Vicks thermometers in the past and have always been pleased. This one just didnt cut it.

I received this thermometer to try out and I absolutely love it! I have used it under arm and Orlando on both of my children and I can confidently say that its accurate and efficient. Its very convenient to stick the thermometer in my diaper bag and I always have my phone with me! All I do is open up the app, switch over to my specific child or family members profile, take the temperature and then its logged! I really love that it logs each thermometer reading so that I can go back and reference! Any parent knows that its helpful to be able to gauge a variety of temperatures when your child gets sick. I have tried this thermometer and compared it with my other thermometers and really believe that its very accurate! I feel like the thermometer is a good price and I love that the app is free. The only downside is that if you switch phones you have to reset up all the profiles and you lose old information. Not a huge deal though! You can export them though if its really important that you keep all of that health data for some reason. That said you can also set reminders so if you need to give Tylenol or other medication to your child or family member it will set and an alert! You can create profiles for temperature for specific members or take temperature without a profile, too. That said, although I was slightly reluctant when I got it about how accurate it would be or how much I would like it I really am impressed with this thermometer and the Vicks app!

I received the Vicks thermometer for free to try out from Influenster. I think its great. I havent had any problems with the app or the thermometer. The readings Ive seen have all been accurate. I love how convenient it is when going to the Drs for my kids and giving her the specific time, date, and the temp reading.

We love this app. It allows us to have a profile for everyone in our family, and it keeps a record of our temps for our convenience. The thermometer itself is very good, accurate and very quick at getting a reading! We really needed a good & simple to use thermometer and this is a great one!

I really liked this thermometer. The app and the thermometer itself seemed to work great and was very accurate. Although I still wouldve like for it to have the reading on the thermometer itself because when all three of my kids were sick, of course I could not find my phone lol.

The app is so easy to use. My son normally doesnt care to have his temperature taken with a standard thermometer, but with this one he gets a kick out of watching his temperature display on the app. I love that multiple members of the family can be included. Ive made the thermometer (and app) my go-to gift for my expecting friends.

It was a great way to store temperatures during her week long virus. When we visited the doctor, I had a record of her temps on my iPhone. I will use it again!

I love this thermometer and app! They sync up great and can even sync without the app being on and it still records it. I am able to separate temps on family members and it tracks time and temp which helps when administering meds and keeping track of when you took temp. Hello my name is Natalie. I am a mother of 2 ages 4 and 5 years old. When they are sick taking their temp is no easy task theres looking for paper or if none writing. The temps in my arm to keep track of them. Its just crazy and my kids are getting impatient because they already dont feel well. I was lucky enough to be part of a social testing group called influenster that lets you test products that match up to certain surveys you take. I was matched with this very thermometer whichever me tell you came just in time! My daughter had suddenly came with the flu over night and having a thermometer that links to your phone and every time you take the temp it reads it and stores and lets you I put the symptoms is every moms best friend . We already naturally have our phones with us or our child is playing games on it so access to the phone a snap. I grabbed thermometer used the Bluetooth connectivity and took my childs temp and there it displayed the temp and showed me through out the day what the different temps were and at what time I even emailed with the option to To my husband her almost chart so he can see her temps its great for sending to doctors or saving for the next visit letting them see how the child been feeling Im a huge fan and recommend for those moms that need a fast way to take temp and keep organized

I got this thermometer free in the mail to test, and I am so happy I got it! I had never heard of this before and was excited to try it. It is the quickest read of temp Ive ever seen and keeps a history of each persons temp readings and I love that I can have separate profiles for each of my kids. Ive already recommended this product to so many of my friends and family.

I love the concept of this app. I really loved the individual profiles so you can keep track of multiple temperatures. It seemed like every time I tried to take my daughters temperature it would start and stop before I was ready so I think all of the readings were inaccurate. I got frustrated after a couple of attempts. I think it has great potential but seems too inaccurate right now. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes.

I received the thermometer free from Influenster to try and it was pretty cool. The setup for the app was really quick and easy. I love how you can add multiple people and keep track of temperatures without having to write it down. Plus you can add medication thats been taken and the dosage. All in all a 5 outta 5!
